Need some space and a quiet place to write a book?

I'm looking for someone to hang out at a remote place in the Philippines. We don't ask you to manage it; we already have employees who do that. But we need a Westerner to just be the eyes and ears of the owner. In exchange you'll get food and lodging in a stunningly beautiful location.

I'm doing it now but cannot be there full time. I propose that we alternate, perhaps 10 days there and 10 away. You're clearly welcome to stay full time, however. Your days away could be used to explore other parts of the Philippines.

Now if you're the gregarious, wild, partying kind of person, then this is definitely not for you. It might appeal, however, to quiet types who don't mind, and perhaps even relish, isolation.

So, if you're working on a novel, or a master's thesis, or just want to dream, or really enjoy a laid-back lifestyle, then let's talk, . . . well let's exchange emails first and then perhaps do a phone interview later.

I insist that you to be responsible. I ask for at least a six month commitment. It won't do to deceive me just to get a freebie for 10 days and then disappear. We are honorable people and expect you to be as well.

Singles or couples will be considered. No smokers, however.

Hello CM

I would be interested but not at the moment. However, I do know of someone else who might be.

Is the offer still open and can you give the location.
