The 2005/06 Premier League season kicks off this weekend, which for Asian Expat football fans means more late nights (or something else to look at in the bars ).
Who is going to win? |

Not just among the Thais....Filipinos, Singaporeans, Malaysians etc etc.
Bolton Wanderers are now the most popular team in Japan..

Looks like Chelsea and Man U will vie for top spot. I'd like to see someone "do a Blackburn" and win it from nowhere..... |

Now that would be fantastic for the PL - and not just a team like Arsenal or Liverpool but one of the lesser teams...
I'd love to see that... |

Come to think of it, can you see any possibilities in the current crop?
Middlesbrough? Newcastle? Blackburn and Bolton might be top 5 material this year.
It's hard to shake that core group though (i.e. the teams in the poll). |

Isn't it near to impossible that a "lesser" team come up and win big considering they have to play throught along season and consistenly winbig games?
Noy quite like golf or boxing when a heavy underdog can come up big and win a globl event _________________ Asia Expats Forum

Yes, but that doesn't mean that it wouldn't be great to see it, which is my point |

Blackburn won it in '95 after being promoted to the top division in '92.
Other than that it has been Man U or Arsenal (and now Chelsea last season) every year |

| Although I voted Arsenal (being a fan I couldn't vote otherwise) but I'm not too sure they could with Campbell still injured, they've been rather weak in the back for a while now. I'd hate to see Chelsea or ManU grab the top seat. |
