AUDITIONS FOR CHARLES DICKENS' A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Beijing Playhouse, a half-professional half-amateur theater group attended by people from all over the world, seeks actors and singers for our English language production of A Christmas Carol. Professional acting experience is not necessary. Nationality is not important. Ability to perform in English is required. Cast and crew may be paid a small stipend based on show attendance.
ALL ROLES OPEN
1 boy, age 4-7
1 man, age 60-90
8 boys and girls, age 4-17
12 men, age 18-60
10 women, age 18-60
8 singers, all ages
(Also needed: 10 ushers, age 18-60)
AUDITION DATES
Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, 2 pm
Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, 6:30 pm
(Call backs, if necessary, Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 6:30 pm)
Actors will do a live read from the script performing scenes from the show. Prepared monologue is not necessary.
REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE
Performances are Wednesday—Saturday nights and Sunday matinees, December 1-30, 2006 (Wed-Thurs nights are private performances if booked). Rehearsals are Sunday—Thursday nights at 6:30 pm in October and November.
LOCATION
Beijing Playhouse is located at Beijing City International School (BCIS), at 77 Baiziwan Nan Er Rd, 1.5 km south of the Dawanglu subway station and SOHO.
