I have eaten hummos in many different countries-the hummios in the picture is just as thick as most I have seen.
I do tend to add lots of extras olive oil-and of course this is eaten with warm pita bread
The main ingredients here are biled mashed chick peas, tahina, and olive oil
Often it is served topped with fried ground beef--extremely tasty.
They sell hummos in smal containers at foodland for about 60 baht-one of my weekly staples

BTW I think babganoush (not one of my favorites) is made with eggplant and is an appetized similar to humos in that it is eaten with pita bread.
Homous is delicious. I had some made with black beans instead of chick peas once. It wa great. I'm mostly familiar with it back home. Perhaps we make it thicker than normal there.

Try it with mashed kidney beans, but pan fry it with a little olive oil.. Not bad really..
