Ok maybe not... even with the foreign guys working in their network have bad english...in fact I can't even identify where the accent comes from, with the Chinese I know its British but with the others its like "where the hell is that guy from?". Theres this old white guy on cctv9 who is a news anchor and I'm actually offended by his accent, I don't even know where that accent comes from.
Theres also this black guy who is the host to that "getaway" on the network who I'm assuming is British mimicking a North American accent(and doing a decent job of it as well) problem is that its only the accent that hes got down, oral grammar? HELL NO, I'll sit in front of the TV and kind of cringe at the usage of words, seriously is he trying to impress people with words that noone commonly uses after he says something like "its even... haunting" or "my two little companions with grandpa at toe"? I'm all for making TV multicultural but when your country composes of less then 0.00001% of them... why bother? Also why give them these roles that they play to make them seem like they are someone else?
But anyways I want to know what kind of background are these two from, I'm guessing that old white guy probably raised in a poorer Irish community but not actually being really Irish himself? And when I look at the black guy his facial features seem like hes definetly not North American, I'm assuming either African or African-European. This is basically a game I play with other xpats who are miserable here in Shanghai so I don't want any of this "YOU'RE A RACIST! YOU'RE DUMB!". I can seriously go on and on about what defines a racist and what makes a racist actually "wrong". But anyways thanks to whoever gives me the answer about those two guys.

I don't know either of them but speaking of annoying people on Chinese TV, who was that stupid Chinese TV sports commentator who said anti-Australian things during the World Cup? He started cheering when the Italians cheated their way past Australia in the second round...
What do Chinese people think of him? _________________ Wer tanzen will, muss die Musik bezahlen
I know who you're talking about, I have this Australian buddy who was really pissed off about that... but once the Italians beat France he cheered for them hahaha.
