Why not jst block the 'Nike'-sellers/Lawyer/Drivers License Quacks/Removalists from posting?

The ones who posted are easy to take care of: ban their IPs. But most spammers don't even activate, they just want their "homepage" seen. I dont ban ip's.
I have deleted many of the spam members and they rearely come back anyway. I dont like to ban because you end up with a totally unrealistic member count. It would also be difficult to ban an ip from china and have a great deal of effect. Most connections here are not from a static ip address but a floating address assigned by the isp.
Even most cable connections here are floating.
To ban an ip effectively you'd have to ban the entire range that the isp provides for its users, this would be overkill too - like Chinese spam. _________________
