ETD for Calapan, Mindoro Oriental 8:00
ETA at Calapan 9:00
ETD for Brgy. Mayabig, Baco 10:00
ETA at Brgy. Mayabig (Bayanan) 45 m 11:00

NOTES & REMINDERS:
Ride a tricycle to the market place and proceed to the Baco jeepney
terminal.
Get the permit at the Municipal Tourism Office of Baco.
Pay the climb fee at Brgy. Mayabig.
Trekking time: approximately 4.0 hours.
Get off the main trail 10-15 minutes after crossing the bridge at
Brgy.
Mayabig. At this point, the main trail starts to lead off to the
left.
Follow the narrow trail to the right going up.

TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES & FEES PHP 700.00* (as of April, 2000)

Bus fare: Pasay City - Batangas City PHP 90.00
Boat fare: Batangas City - Calapan 180.00
Terminal fee at Batangas City Pier 10.00
Jeepney rate: Calapan - Brgy. Mayabig 500.00
Climb fee 40.00

*actual amount is PHP 690.00; it is computed as follows:
(bus fare x 2) + (boat fare x 2) + terminal fee + ((jeepney rate /
10)
x 2) + climb fee

NOTES & REMINDERS:
Expect to be rained out during this climb. Prepare for wet and cold
trekking. Waterproofing of your backpack is a must.
It can be very cold especially in the evening and early morning.
Bring
sufficient cold weather clothing.
Night trekking is highly probable. Bring adequate batteries, and a
spare flashlight.
There are lots of limatiks. Bring insect repellent, alcohol and/or
vapor rub.
Bring lots of trail food.
