www.tehrantimes.com article
The U.S. is currently negotiating with senior officials in the Chinese capital, Beijing, with the hope of reaching an agreement for the eviction of the Saudi born, Al Qaeda leader, Osama Bin Laden from his asylum in China, in the Northwest of the Great Wall nation.

Not less than five million people, all followers of Osama, are believed to be living in that region, which can be called one of the most volatile regions of Earth.

Last year, Bin Laden reached a highly secretive agreement with the authorities in Beijing, China, in which he was granted asylum in return for his guarantees to put the war of the Chinese Muslim minority against the Chinese nation to an end.

During the past years, thousands of troops of the Popular Liberation Army had been sent to the region to crush insurgency. However, Bin Laden, now feeling trapped in his refuge, fears that if an extraordinary agreement was ever reached between Beijing and Washington, he will be handed over to the United States in the near future.

Arresting Bin Laden would surely grant President Bush another presidential period, as he will use it to assure the American people that the U.S. “claimed war on terrorism” has proved its success. Specially that in a recently released videotape, Bin Laden admitted that he ordered the 9/11 attacks against New York and Washington.

"A new administration Bush would present China as its great new ally in the war against terrorism. China would enjoy in Washington the status of a most favored nation with all of its facets. Contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars would be approved by fast track.

The history of human rights violations in China would be ignored," said a high-level representative of the Pentagon. He added that only a small number of "members of very high rank" in the Bush administration knew about the plan to "seize Bin Laden in exchange for a special relationship with China." With almost certainty, among them would be the vice-president, Dick Cheney, and the defense secretary, Donald Rumsfeld.

Agreeing to speak under anonymity, the functionary said that it wasn’t the first time that an American administration has used the same tactics and maneuvers during an electoral campaign. Towards the end of Jimmy Carter’s presidency period, the then future president of the U.S., Ronald Reagan, and Iran signed a secret deal in which the American diplomats, who were kidnapped in Teheran would be released the same day Ronald Reagan would take up his position at the White House.

American intelligence agents are suggesting that the Saudi born millionaire, accompanied by 50 fighters, moved towards Cachemira, and from there crossed into China.

The agents, furthermore, suggest that, previously, Bin Laden have met with several top officials of Beijing.

White House sources reject to comment on this issue publicly. "If the negotiations should fail, this would not be the most suitable moment for the president to be seen directly involved in these negotiations," affirmed one source.

Sources suggest that Bin Laden’s deal has emerged early this year, after Donald Rumsfeld met with a delegation of the Chinese government during a visit to the far East.

Later, George Tenet, then director of the CIA, requested a viability study for an operation to capture Bin Laden. Tenet was informed that the only possibility would be if they could count on the cooperation of the Chinese.

"To what extent that collaboration will occur in the few days remaining until the elections, will depend to a good extent on the confidence that Bush can inspire in the Chinese that he will be able to live up to his promises," confirmed the functionary of the Pentagon.

The Chinese government has a very tight grip on the 50 odd million muslims in china. Could osama be there with beijing's blessing? I doubt it because they dont want any outside influences to excite those 50 million muslims.
