Angeles is a popular destination for its nightlife, but there isnt much else to do there.
Cebu is another popular place, with some nightlife, excellent shops, nearby beach resorts, and a lot of foreign companies.
Hence, direct flights linking the two should be popular.
As there are now a few International carriers flying into Clark (Angeles) and some also fly to Cebu, this could make easier entry points than Manila.

South East Asian Airlines will launch Angeles-Cebu-Angeles direct flights this coming 18feb05 with the ultrafast Dornier 328 Speedliner. This pressurised, airconditioned turboprop also known as the Mercedes of the sky can get you to/from Cebu in only 1hr 15min so if you need to visit Cebu you can avoid Manila and save time.

There is actually more to do and to see in Angeles City. If you have a car and driving around, its worth it to see the Import Export Furniture Makers in the town. Angeles or Kapampangans are known not only for being good cooks but for crafts, furnitures making and design, quilts. All the best stuff and factory you can find in Angeles. See the big church as well in Sto. Rosario and the old Spanish houses from the Spanish and American Era.
I spent much of 91 -92 living and working in Angeles, and have since been back several times to see friends I made at that time.
Yes, it is OK for a short time, but there is a very limited amount to do there.
After all, having seen some /all the furniture and craft makers, and looked round the other things you mention, what does one do for the following weeks?
At least Cebu has some nice beach resorts and a lot of other things to see and do. _________________ The Middle Eastern states aren't nations; they're quarrels with borders.- P. J. O'Rourke

Hi. Thanks for the Comment. I understand what you mean by not having any other things to do in Angeles City after all of the Furniture and Crafts stuff. Thats how it always felt growing up there. Still, I suppose for myself who grew up in that town I find the lives of people a very significant part. You will see many of our young generations with our mums and pops doing a bit of quilting and sewing skills, find out about the good WOOD offered and used by the city, bamboo and wicker crafts, many wonderful talents such as painters, wood carvers, and especially, a lot of 1st hand factory price. However, as a Tourist, I understand it from your point of view as I travel myself. I suppose I am only trying to help my city be given a chance to be looked at another angle apart from the disneyland. It just helps to take the sting away, to send a bit of knowledge out there about my town that Angeles has a lot of things to offer.
Angeles has many great other things. You can come see the universities like AUF AND HAU, will give you a glimpse of the town, good food, expatriate clubs like Hidden Vale Club where they have been playing just last year SEA Games Lawn Bowls etc.,
Cebu is great and wonderful. There is no comparison at all
By the way, is the Angeles Cebu Flight still working?
Thanks good day you all
