Don't know what to with all your pc spare parts that you dont use anymore? Look no further . I've known these people for years. They do hands on training as well as build pc's out of scraps to give to schools etc.. Thye are located in Pattaya but if you have lots of old pc's to donate I believe they will come pick up in BKK or??
In fact, I, like many of my generation, havent caught up with the "throw away" society yet.
Apart from a very early one which is of historic interest (and will remain in my collection), I have only had two computers.
The first used a DX2/50 (after it had been upgraded from an earlier chip) and runs Win 3/11.
I used it up to three years ago, and keep it as a spare in case this one ever breaks down.
This, is a Pentium P4, 1.5GHz, machine, and does all I need.
With luck, it will last, say, 7 - 10 years, before I think of replacing it.

7-10 years would be very lucky and your pentium 1.4 should hold up for quite a while--of course depending on how you use it
Having said that, there are many people who upgrade frequently and who end up with a lot of spare useful parts-video cards and stuff like that. -or even complete units _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
My car?
Well, it is over 10 years old, and I keep hoping that it will fail its annual test so that I have a good reason to replace it.
However, it keeps on passing and running, and is economical so it stays!

Lets see-10 years old, still working, economical--gotta be a japanese car
Actually, no.
It is British, one of the products of British Leyland, or Rover as it now is.
It is a Meastro, which will no doubt evoke shreiks of laughter in any British veiwers here.
To say the least, they did not have a good repuation!
Mine is a turbo diesel, which was reckoned to be the best of a bad bunch.
It still looks good, or as good as they ever looked, and does 55+ miles a gallon.
Must admit, it would be nice to have a new car.... when this one expires.

I thought I would get one for lunacy for admitting to being a pom.
I recall you once stated that in fact you were not a pom!!!!
So I assumed Aussie or South Africa. _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
For those who dont know what they look like, this is my Meastro.
They were renowned for their styling (the didnt have any), the reliability (they werent), the performance (they didnt) and their many defects.
The best of them was the turbo diesel, which mine is, which runs well, ahs a decent turn of speed, and is very economical.
The latter is important when one pays almost £4 (= US$ a gallon for fuel!
Why mine hasnt rusted away, or fallen apart, I dont know. It has done over 200,000 miles so far.
Still dont look too bad for an old 'un either. (Or as good as they ever looked !)
