Does anyone have any experience with golf tours in Thailand. I have been doing some searching on the net and came across quite a few companies who offer complete and custom tours. Me and 3 buddies want to travel to Thailand over Chinese New Year and were trying to decide which company to choose. One site, www.golfasian.com looks pretty good. It seems to be run by an English bloke, John, who knows allot about golf in Thailand and is very helpful to answer any questions and make adjustments to any programme.
Let me know if anyone has any suggestions or recoemmendations on courses or places to stay. This is our first trp to Thailand and we want to experience nighlife and golf, both first class!!!!!!!!!!
Took a look at some of those packages. You could probably save by doing it all yourself but having the convenience of having it all prearanged is worth something.
A very decent hotel in BKK is 2000Baht and golf about 2000 per round/transport maybe about 500 baht--so for about 5000 baht per day you could do it yourself.

Could you recommedna very decen hotel for 2000 baht also can you give me the contact for the transportation.
I was thinking of staying at the Intercontinental (good location and nice chain) and wanted to play at thai Counrty club (where Tiger won Jonny walker open a few years back) plus a fe other championship courses.
For around 2k you could stay at windsor suites or grand president-neither in the class of intercontinental.
For golf
Thai Country Club, Navatanee, laemchabang, Alpine and Rose Garden are great courses.
Transport? get a taxi at your hotel _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
