Google maps has expanded to China. The street map service has (with the help of a partner chinese company) been extended to several major Chinese cities. It's unfortunately currently only in Chinese, but for those that can read a couple of characters here and there, it looks sort of useful and definitely very cool.

I checked the Kunming area on Goole Earth but the reslotion sucked-- In fact I don't think I could find Kunming city Exclamation

Not having a Windows machine, I haven't yet been able to see Google Earth. You can see kunming plotted on Google Maps here:

Resolution is indeed pretty bad. Which is why the street maps feature on bendi is so cool.
