Highlands coffee is a chain of cofee shops in vietnam, it's very good. some of the cafes are hidden in beautiful gardens. if you visit/live in hanoi, go to the highlands coffee place on the western side of the Hoam Kiem lake (P Le Le Thai To, the same side as Fanny Ice cream). It's on the roof terrace, so you will have to look for a highlands coffee sign on the street which will take you to a parking lot. from there, take the elevator, go to the highest floor and when you get out you'll be in the cafe. lonely planet didn't find it yet, and it's mainly visited by the upper class hanoians.
it's worth the effort!
Vietnamese coffee is absolutely amazing. I haven't been to highlands but I have a had a few of the local cups and you can't forget it. Super think, and strong. Half coffee, half sweetened condensed milk. If you like coffee, vietnam is the place! _________________ eslHQ.com

The only coffee I had in the Philippines was the Nescafe packets. But I didn't go looking too hard. They left the coffee on the balcony of our bungalow along with a big thermos of hot water and some cups. It was so nice waking up to that _________________ eslHQ.com

We used to make and sell expresso made from thai coffee beans. Was pretty strong stuff but I think basically thai coffee sucks big time. _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
You guys should try the fresh brewed Java Coffee when you visit Indo.
It's too strong for some ppl
Is that the Turkish type of coffee? Half water in your cup and half coffee drab?
Highlands coffee is great! I also like the setup of their shops, relaxed music, nice couches, and the prices are not ridiculous compared to local prices.
Unlike crazy old, but delicous Starbucks, they charge 4 euro/dollars a cup everywhere in the world! But i can't think of 4 euros better spend...

Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and fat.
