Everyone keeps saying that this recession is nothing like the one in the 30's, but, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck....
However, it is certainly unknown territory for this generation, and all the politicians are really flying by the seat of their pants, and trying to do something, anything, to... well, keep their jobs and make themselves look good.
If that happens to coincide with improving the economy, then that is a bonus.
Many people think that (A) the politicians and so-called experts shuld have seen it coming, and not been so greedy in the first place, and (B), what they have done so far has been both expensive and much of it pointless or totally wrong.
All I will say is that it is going to cost US, the ordinary people a lot of money for many years to come.
