A friend of mine bought into one of the new Subway sandwich shops in Bangkok. He is very happy with the business and expects payback within 1.5 years.
I think he is planning another Subway in Pattaya.
One thing which is interesting is that he is not involved in management of the Subway at all--I think his only role is to provide the investment funds. |

How about 1000 baht and 5000% per month. It doesn't work that way. If you have something to offer. Then offer. if you have a variety of things to offer, then offer them all. |

offerring 50% return per year for a 5 year investment in a project but if the project fails you get your investment and 5%
invest 1000 baht, you get 3500 baht if the project is successful or 1050 if the project fails |

Sounds too good to be true.
What sort of project? I assume there is something in between succeeding and failing? _________________ Asia Expats Forum

Thats a strange deal. What are the chances of it suceeding?
For those who can invest in a long term project, teak farming in thailand is quite attractive.
plant 2400 trees per hectare
after 7-8 years cut and sell half of the trees for approx 1000 baht per tree, thus recovering all prior expenses(cost of land is biggest expense)
After another 10 years youre looking at 200-500$ per tree depending on quality-not factoring in anual price increases.
Do the numbers--its impressive. I had 3 hectars of teak up in chiangrai-I would be rich now if I hadn't planted in a flood zone |

I was always told that there is an easy way to make a million in Asia.
That is to start with 2 million. |
