Hello english-speakers of Thailand
I am a freelance journalist travelling with photographer, who will be visiting Thailand for the first time in December. Our main purpose will be to gather stories for a feature article about the tsunami's one-year anniversary. The article will most likely run in a major Canadian newspaper.
My biggest concern is the language barrier, and I will need to be in touch with english-speakers up and down the Andaman coast, but especially in Khao Lak, and on Phuket, during the month of December.
I would love to hear from anyone with interesting stories to pass along, and from anyone willing to translate for us or act as our guide for a nominal fee, or put us in touch with someone who might. We are both in our mid-20s, looking for adventure and a story that will jumpstart both of our careers.
