2006-09-01 01:27:39 - DESCRIPTIONS OF REMOVED ITEMS:
2006-09-01 01:27:39 - SpywareQuake: Hoistware -- SpywareQuake is a rogue programme installed by a trojan horse
2006-09-01 01:27:39 - Unrecognized IE Toolbars / Browser Helper Objects: Unknown -- Internet Explorer Toolbars and Browser Helper Objects (BHOs) are additions to your Internet Explorer Browser. Some of these may be very useful to enhance your surfing experience. Some may be harmful or create privacy issues. Adware Filter recognizes most toolbars and BHOs, and can determine if they are bad or good. However, new ones frequently come onto the scene. In this case we can only bring them to your attention. We recommend that you perform a Google search on the long number (so-called GUID) found in one or more of the registry entries associated with these findings to determine if they are good or bad. In the case that a good toolbar is detected, we invite you to send in a spyware report so we can add it to our white list.
2006-09-01 01:27:39 - Auto-run Threats Variant F-134: Custom Threats --
2006-09-01 01:27:39 - AdwareNo.Spysheriff: Hijackers -- Part of a class of malware referred to as "Ransomware", Spysheriff warns the user of false installations of spyware and adware on the system, and then demands payment to remove it. The program is installed without warning, and locks the background wallpaper in order to make it appear that it was installed by Windows.
2006-09-01 01:27:39 - Tracking Cookies are small files stored on your computer as you browse the Internet. These files are used to track your interests and selections for future marketing (ad selection), lead generation and user profiling.
Simon, mate - you should NEVER follow links like that ... always trouble.
I once foolishly clicked one of those anyway - and the web page caused my internet explorer to load up a blue page with a ton of hex codes every time I started it, and nothing would get it to go away (till I googled the issue and resolved it).

Hope your computer didnt get messed up too bad ultimately?
Thanks Rahul and no, it didn't mess my pc up too much.. My puter is doped up to the eyeballs with anti-virus, trojan-killers and what not so getting rid of it wasn't too taxing, just time consuming tracking down all the garbage in the registry.
Lesson learned No, probably not.
It kind of reminds me of my younger days in the army, I used to box for my regiment, I wasn't exceptionally talented at boxing nor would I put a man on the canvas like "Iron Mike Tyson" , I was pretty average, threw a decent enough punch, tall, with a long reach and I had the stamina to go a few rounds. With the exception of a K.O. No matter how hard they hit me, I always got up again, (like a bull and a red rag).
Neway, long story short...
I was due to fight a guy from II Para, (Parachute Regiment) the day before I'd been summoned to the colonel's office for the usual pep talk on regimental honour and all that bs and given a brief description of my opponent "he's big, watch yourself, don't dissapoint us in there etc etc". All this I already knew, but "yes sir, thankyou and I won't"..
(why are commanding officers 3 weeks behind NCO'S in their critical information delivery?) maybe that's another thread entirely:roll:
Usually if the Para's were in town and there was a bar brawl - they started it, unfortunately, more often than not, they also finished it.
This guy is not "big" as my colonel so kindly understated, he's huge
I'n no small guy either, back then I was 6'3" weighed 210 Lbs, (now I way a lil less but middle age has crept in with a flabby tyre where my stomach used to be) This guy is 6'5" and weighs 260 Lbs, my CSM is saying "this guy hits you, it's gonna hurt, stay away" (you don't say?)
Ding Ding - Rnd1: For 2 and a half minutes we just spar, throw a couple of jabs here and there, slowly sounding each other out, about 15 seconds before the bell this sledge hammer of a fist is coming at my jaw from out of nowhere, I try and block it, too late, "damn this guy's quick" hmmm... I'm on my back, on the canvas, there's something standing over me, how the @#$% did I get down here, slowly, groggily it all comes back to me, @#$% that hurts, I manage to get on my feet before the bell and sway to my corner like a drunken teenager.
My CSM is yelling something in my ear, it sounds just like one of those mosquitos that got inside the net and no matter how hard you try and swat it away, you can hear a zzzzzzz in your ear all night long.(tomorrow he will say, "didn't you hear me, I told you to go down and stay the hell down") How on earth did I miss that golden nugget? - zzzzzzzz.
Ding Ding - Rnd2: "Oh @#$%" I hurt all over and this guy has only hit me once (as far as I know) <no one that big moves so fast, twas a lucky punch, just keep a distance and grind him down> (visions of a glorious twelfth round comeback are jarred right out of my skull as a right hook comes screaming at me, I block it, but damn I'm sure he disloged my brain anyway.
For the next four rounds he continues to beat the living daylights out of me, he doesn't put me on the canvas again, but I'm sure that just puts even more sting into every one of his hits, I land a few of my own, but they just seem to bounce off him and leave me wide open for that blasted right hook again, but there is no way in hell I'm gonna let this guy put me down again.......
Ding Ding - Rnd:7 What's left of my brain is screaming at me, there's no way on gods green earth that you're going to beat this guy, just no way at all. Bah, I don't need such negative thoughts in my head, I know better, zzzzz swat, zzzzzzz splat! go away!! How can I lose the fight without hurting my pride anymore than it's already hurting, how can I lose without going down again, to the Marquis of Queensbury - my utmost apologies, I take my beating as I know I will but this time I'm just looking for the opening, here it comes, Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding, the man mountain is flat on his back, clutching his throat, (if one can indeed clutch with a boxing glove) gasping for air, with every ounce of my weight and strength, I punched the guy right in the adam's apple and down he wnt like a sack of spuds.
My regiment are on their feet, cheering and goading, their regiment are on their feet too, but they don't look so happy, I'm disqualified, the ref aint happy, man mountain certainly isn't happy, their regiment have blood in their eyes, my regiment is no longer quite so loud, brave and forthright as they were 30 seconds ago and 2 days later I get the biggest bollocking I ever had in the army..
I fought the same guy again, twice, both times I lost, both times were painful, very painful!
The Moral if it can be called a moral
Maybe it's human nature, maybe it's my self-destructive nature But, we're not naive in thinking I wonder what will happen if.........
We know if..... is going to hurt, one way or another.......
but our brains remind us of "what if"..............?
"Don't push that button, don't click that link, you know it's not going to be pleasant"........... But we do it anyway! _________________
Simon, interesting story there - you remind me of Rocky with the never give up story (Remember Rocky I - Stallone getting pounded)? Just a bigger boxer than Rocky sizewise
I'd be curious to know, what sorta exercise routine did you follow when in the army (or when you were training for boxing)? I sort of think it would be mostly bodyweight stuff and outdoor hiking/walking/climbing/swimming ... none of that artsy fartsy gym crap (which I quite hate!) ...

I'm myself a body weight exercise lover!
Cheers!
My training routine for the boxing was pretty intense, lots of 10 - 15 mile cross country runs with up to 50 Lbs of rocks in your pack, wearing full battle fatigues and carrying your rifle, at the time it seemed pretty harsh and I certainly couldn't do it now, but it set me in good stead for the rest of my carreer...
There was a lot of work on the weights, upper body but mostly leg work
Not too much on the speed ball but plenty on the bag..

that was about it tho....
I think it's a good training routine - especially since it focuses most on the legs. Most of these gym goers love to build their biceps, but the legs and back are FAR more important IMO ...
10-15 mile runs with 50lbs + gear - geez brother, I couldnt do it now!! I climb a hill daily and do bodyweight stuff, but I dont think I could do that!!
Ever tried bear crawls? This exercise will whoop anyone's ass ... Done correctly, and for long enough that is _________________ Dongguan Expat - Your online Community!

I forgot about the bear crawls--please explain again
Crawl (walk) like the mighty bear does!! (grizzly bear)
The mighty BEAR can break's a moose's neck with one swipe, lions and tigers don't stand a chance ... and I'll bet on a polar bear getting it's arse whooped by a grizzly ANY DAY
This means get down on all fours (no, please, no naughty thoughts), arms straight, head and shoulders and neck as far ahead of arms as possible, and MOST important, the legs should be AS straight as possible!! And just move around this way - trust me, it'll whoop your arse ... And, you can move AS slowly as you like - in fact I recommend you move slowly
