Mandarin Rocks is the leading Chinese language school based in Shanghai building on "Total Solution To Language Barriers". Over the years, we've been dedicated to provide the best Chinese language training through superior teaching resource combined with the most strict and effective quality control system anywhere in Shanghai. Bustling with students from over 50 countries, we have become the first choice for international students and local expatriate community for Chinese language learning. Our motivation comes from our passion to promote Chinese culture and image all over the globe. Quality and passion are never over-rated at MandarinRocks.
Mandarin Rocks offers 12 courses at 9 levels all year round. The courses are available in groups and individuals. Beginner intensive courses commence on 15 start dates throughout the year whilst non-beginner course starts every Monday. The maximum group size is limited to 10 (average 6) to ensure every student gets full attention from teacher and ample time for practice. We create a culturally diverse environment for developing language and interpersonal skills since our small class is usually joined by students of a mix of nationalities. The courses are taught in Chinese or English (for beginners), however, French, German, Japanese are also used as teaching language for a language homogeneous group.
For international students, we offer multiple housing options including private studio, single room in shared apartment, serviced apartment or host family. A number of cultural workshops and activities are offered to program participants and may include martial arts, Chinese cooking, Chinese calligraphy, etc. Optional excursions and site visits introduce students to multiple aspects of Chinese society. For intensive Mandarin program participants, our language director and staff manage a help station to assist those who need additional language help. A language partner from local university will be paired with the student for extra tutorials and practice.
Mandarin Rocks maintains good relationships with a number of international and local companies and organizations based in Shanghai and is able to offer internships to our Study-Internship program participants. These opportunities vary in time commitment and skill requirements.
