What kind of mobile phone do you use? A PDA combo phone or Motorola something?
I use an HP IPAQ 6315 combo mobile/PDA
I use it it mostly as a phone but like to have the ability to scribble notes on the screen and save quickly for reference later. has GPS and all that stuff but I dont use those stuff--no time _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
Mine is a Motorola V50 (one of the first flip phones).
It is the third mobile I have owned.
The first was back in 1988, when the main unit filled up half the car boot (trunk to the 'Mericuns) and the whole thing was almsot built in to the car.
The second was another Motorola a few years ago.
I have looked at the latest models and am not impressed.
I dont want video, camera, music, etc, just a phone with SMS.
Guess I am a dinasaur. _________________ The Middle Eastern states aren't nations; they're quarrels with borders.- P. J. O'Rourke

Any piece of technology that was around when you were a child, is normal.
Anything that is introduced when you are aged 10 to 40 is new and exciting, and might make an itneresting career.
Anything that comes out after you are 50 is "a new-fangled gadget of no earthly use".
Actually, I like new technology, or some of it. it is just that I dont have the need for it. I saw the Sony Walkman before it was released to the public.
Nice gadget. I may get myself one some day!
As for replacements, if it works, leave it alone.
With phones, I only want a phone. For photos I have a camera, and the same applies to all the other functions.
I dont want multi-functional items. With present trends everyone will have several for example cameras, with one built in to every other item.
Now, having said, that, I rather like the new Motorola V3.
Wonder if it will still be around when I want to replace the one I have? _________________ The Middle Eastern states aren't nations; they're quarrels with borders.- P. J. O'Rourke
I agree with Alan, a phone is a phone, so long it rings and texts, I'm happy...ok, the address book is a must, an alarm is useful, and the diary too, a calculator comes in handy once in a while, the games are for the kids...what more do you need?
I have a Nokia 3100, my third Nokia, have tried Motorola and Samsung but will stick with Nokia I thick, just like the way the menu works...
A phone is a phone is an address book is a calculator is a game player is a diary.
Face it. Its much more than just a phone. One thing I can not understand is all the downloading of ring tones and theme graphics and all that. Seems to be a phenonema among younger people. _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
All I need is a phone, plus texts.
If I am working I have a calculator with me, one that is far more sophisticated than those in phones.
Time? I have a watch.
Addresses? If there is a chance I need one, I have my address book.
Games? What for.
Ringtones? As long as I can tell if it is my phone ringing, that is all I need.
(OK, I have to admit to having an unusual tone, which makes it easy to tell. One that I "composed" myself, although that term is exagerating.)
I do like that V3 though. Nice and slim and light, just right to slip in a shirt pocket. _________________ The Middle Eastern states aren't nations; they're quarrels with borders.- P. J. O'Rourke
Last time I checked the price here, it was nearly £500, thats about =US$ 750.
It will need to drop a lot before I get serious about buying one. _________________ The Middle Eastern states aren't nations; they're quarrels with borders.- P. J. O'Rourke
Appears to be quite a lot cheaper in Thailand--I will have to recheck the price-maybe I got it wrong _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
