Don Herringtons site and forum are interesting and give a lot of information.
However, he does tend to view things "through rose tinted spectacles", and never allows or mentions anything negative.
Rather misleading as nowhere on earth is perfect. _________________ The Middle Eastern states aren't nations; they're quarrels with borders.- P. J. O'Rourke
I arrived in Jan 80 at age 25 and have extensive experience in business , traveling and investing in the Philippines but the American former peace corps volunteer owner is VERY STRICT about NOT allowing me nor others like the creator of streetwisewisephilippines and philippinedreams who was also banned ADD a ONE LINER PLUG for our small businesses near Manila airports and Boracay Island's beachfront.
Of course I have been helping travelers and investors for 30 years for FREE but my wife and I are small business entrepreneurs so appreciate being able to include an attached signature with our website or mentioning our accommodation locations.
But such an attitude is NOT uncommon among older expats or people as they age like my Father, some people NEED to be the local EXPERT within their social network. My Dad's is at church and when he volunteers to help prisoners in jail; a real captive audience. _________________ Feel FREE to ask questions about living, traveling and investing in the S.E.
