Does anyone know how certain phone numbers work?

someone gave me a number to call -- the country code fits 234

but the numbers after the country follow the us format--area code followed by 7 digits---the number does not match anything i can find in nigeria--234 is for nigeria and this person is supposedly on work assignment there

im very suspicious

234 shows up in my book as the international code for Nigeria.

Probably someone who was related to the late grand pooba and needs to use your account to give you a couple million

I nefver got to the crux of it but if i continued on i would expect her to ask for money to get out oher hotel and travel to thailand.

the story is--a model, an American working on na bikini spread waiting inn a nigerian hotel for her UK promoter to return from the UK--she is looking for love on the net-5555555

some people are falling for these scams
