If you've been living in Bangkok for a while and have a dog, as I do, then you know that there are NO places to walk your pet. Parks don't allow them, and beaches fine you for playing with them there. Well, if you are like most expats who live in apartments or condos without lawns, its quite sad to have the pet that you love be restricted to balconies, parking garages and busy streets to exercise in. I've just started working on a new project on Sukumvit 39, near New Petchburi Road (near the Italian Thai Building). It is a limited members only dog park, designed specifically for dogs and their owners. It covers about 1 acre of land (2 Rai), and has several facilities and services available for your dog(s). The moderately priced yearly or six month membership is not for everyone, and pets must first be interviewed for aggressiveness and health. The park will open in August 2005, and there is currently a discount of 20 percent off the 1 year membership price. I think I saw something about it on TV just the other day..... The DNN* reporter Woof Spritzer was interviewing an individual named Clark Kanine, who was also a reporter for a great Petropolitan Spewspaper, The Daily Plant It, about the problems plagueing Petropolis today. Clark was spaying that in all his years of working on papers, he had never seen the crime rate so high...Of particular note, interjected his girl friend Lassie Ling, was the panting increase in puppynapping. It has been rumored that this increase was doo in part to a syndicate run by the dastardly villan D. Tak-In Hydrant, who was running a mob of Curr-rule muggs...

Little did Lassie and Woof know at the time that Clark Kanine was in fact the altered pego of 'Super Pooper Scooper, the Grrrrreat Caped Crap Crusader' who fought a never ending battle against Cats, Pooper Scoopers and the Canine Way...

Why just 2 days earlier Clark and Lassie had interviewed Petropolis Police Chief Rott Wilder who was saying "his main objective was lickin the problem at paw".

Meanwhile cross town at a competeing spewspaper, The Pee Awn Daily, secretly owned by D.Tak-In Hydrant, was preparing for the upcoming political elections of Top Dogs and Currs. Their editor-in-briefs, Su Chitz, was hiding down Pup Reporter, for spending too piddle time on the election and too much time in X Rated Cat Houses. Little doo doo she know that Pup had a Dancing Bitch over there named Poopsie Puddle Poodle, whose main dance 4 step included a routine where she would hold out her tutu tutu [4 legs u no] and tell the customers Peek-In-Dees. Peek-In-Dees!

Tune in tomorrow for the further misadventures of all the canine crew and find out how the Super Caped Pooper Scooper fights off the threat of death by Craptonite...

In addition to the membership fee .... would there be any curr charges? Like so much p/ kilo per dump.... bigger dogs, bigger dumps, bigger fees ??? Wave

Yes, there is plenty of parking available. The park is only one feature of this 5 Rai project. There will be many new Restaurants and Shopping Venues, as well as a popular pet store, dog hotel, grooming services, and limo services (for you and your dog). We will also run a daycare service for your dogs. Membership fees are at a discount until the end of August, and the park is scheduled to open: August/Sept 2005. PS. And Noooo there is not an extra service fee for dogs that have larger-than-average deposits (who wrote that ??). We will clean up after your pet, at no extra costs. Very Happy
