Nok Air is a new low cost airline registered under Sky Asia Co., a joint venture between public and private investors. Nok, Thai for “bird”, is a short, simple and easy to remember name that all Thais can relate to. As for our goal we aim to touch all our passenger with our friendly Nok Culture. At Nok Air we put much of our efforts to understand the needs and demands of passengers how complex they may be. As a result we hope to give the passengers the level of service that is beyond their expectations. Secondly, Nok Air would like to offer the freedom for everyone to have flying as an option for a mean of transport. Lastly, Nok Air holds safety at the heart off the operation. Nok Air aircraft operations complies fully with the same safety standard as Thai Airways International. Its current aircraft are all newly leased from Thai Airways with highly experienced cockpit crews.
In terms of flight operations Nok Air will be flying to all parts of Thailand, with Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Udon Thani, Phitsanulok and Phuket as the planned destinations during 2004. The price of the air tickets will be competitive to the other low cost airlines is the market.

Looks like a Domestic only outfit....Too bad they are not flying out from New York City...
May be of interest to you.... Thai Airways now has a direct flight Bangkok - JFK.... not too bad price by todays market prices..... They also, like EVA, have an economy deluxe class that gives you the wider businesss class seat
Be of interest if you check it out from that end to see what a r/t ticket would be...... I'm sure they are different prices dependent on which end you purchase...
Maybe some day they'll have cheap flights to the US too, but for the moment it says Europe at low price:
