Am I the only Norwegian in here? Anyway, hello to everybody. I’m not an expat yet. Have to put in some more years of work fist. (At least 4 more years).
My wife comes from Thailand and we live together here in Bergen, Norway. Hopefully one day we will be able to live in Thailand during the cold and dark winter months.
As for my occupation I’m a piping engineer currently working offshore in the North Sea. Engineering and design is what I have done most of my life. I’m pretty happy with my rotation nowadays, 2 weeks on and four weeks of. Not so bad?
I love travelling, photo, Photoshop and so on. Hope I can share some of my photos with you. Dancing gives me a great pleasure. Lindy Hop, Boogie-woogie, Salsa and so on. Great exercise.
Sorry but I haven’t had time to reply before. Yes I know of Knut. We worked once in the same company, ABB, and he was stationed in Bangkok for many years but I think his left Thailand now.
Tricky that one concerning my favorite area in LOS. I’m still looking. There are so many nice places. I really appreciate some good advice if you have any. But I don’t think I would stay in Pattaya. There is so much crime going on in that place now.
My wife comes from a small village called Ban Nam, close to Ban Luam, outside Korat. It takes about I hour by bus north of Korat. There are hardly any fallang in the area. Some fallang houses my wife say but they only visit now and then. I haven’t seen them.

Since I run a forum for expats in Korat I keep "meeting" a lot of permanent resident foreigners scattered over the countryside north of Korat. A Norvegian posting on my forum for example (Homer) lives in Non Sung, half an hour northeast of Korat. There are a lot more "hermits" from Scandinavia up here.
