Salaries vary greatly.
Depends on what you do, where you were hired from, and when you were hired and of course who you work for.
A multinational Company will normally pay more than a thai company
Straight out of U with Computer Science degree-- probably make between 6 and 15K thai baht per month. Expats don't even qualify at this level.
Application specialists and ERP consultants with a few years experience will get 20k and up maybe even up to 100K depending on experience. Double that for expats.
Network specialists--25-75K again double for expats
Infrastrcuture Management 40-150K--double for expat
Notice that salaries vary greatly even among locals--thats just the way it is. Also there are expats who will work for thai wages. _________________ Asia Expats Forum

Interesting information, thanks.
There are expats here that'll work for local salaries too - part of the reason the expat salaries are going down.
Is it the same in Thailand? _________________ Dongguan Expat - Your online Community! |

I think that may be the case for english teachers, and other positions like web designers who have to work for thai wages. _________________ Asia Expats Forum

Web designers have to work for Thai wages?
Which IT field pays more to expats than it does locals _________________ Dongguan Expat - Your online Community! |

IT "management" isn't always highly specialized.
In one of my previous jobs, I had an IT manager (who I reported to) who didn't know how to do what I did. ... and, lest someone think that it's OK, and he was a "manager" - he really wasn't, as he had no authority to make real decisions.
The same seems to hold true for most managers I've seen - the "manager" term seems to be more for a middle man who gets paid more.

This guy didnt order (and when he tried to, I didnt listen) -
But, he was probably making WAY more than me ...
I see many cases like this daily.
Wonder when I can make more for knowing the same thing a "manager" does _________________ Dongguan Expat - Your online Community! |
