Many fraudsters have set up their operations in SE Asia.
Some mimic legitimate firms whilst others just use the normal boiler room techniques to entice people to invest with them.

Before parting with any money, it is worth checking that the entity you are talking to is legitimate.

A good rule, is that if it seems too good to be true, that is because it ISNT true!!

I was involved with fraud investigation work at one time, so I tend to keep up to date with scammers and locations of information about them.

There are some nasty people out there.

The amount of harm and suffereng they can cause is distressing.

The majority of the suckers are American.
I dont know if it is because there are so many with money, or because some are so naive, but nevertheless, these scammers get most of their income from the US.

Among the Americans I know are some of the nicest and most generous people in the world.

Also, some of the most arrogant, some of the most naive, and some of the most greedy and selfish.

Overall, with so much money in the US, it is hardly surprising that the scammers would target them, and, then go down the list of countries where people have large disposable incomes.

It is rarely the "old money" people who are victims, but those who have recently aquired it, perhaps because they dont have the experience.

Also, it is VERY hard to scam anyone who isnt greedy.
