just found out tonight that western union is not a great way to send money back to the states.
the money gets there fast--real fast--but u pay for that speed
i sent 34000 baht and they charged me 1800 baht for that
exchange rate was 34.97--also not so good
next time ill do a bank to bank transfer--SCB charges 300 baht per transaction _________________Asia Expats Forum

You should let them first explain you the different ways to transfer from bank to bank:
- which way tipanet, SWIFT etc.
Then they should also tell you about the different ways of charging;
- OUR meaning you pay all fees for the whole transfer,
- SHARE - you pay for your bank sending the money, the benficiary pays for all fees of intermediate banks and his bank, and
- BEN - the beneficiary pays for all fees of the whole transfer.
Better ask your bank first who is charged for the other banks involved. _________________Thailand Forum - Korat Forum . .
