The Flying Tigers
Long before today’s group of expatriates began flooding
China’s classrooms & boardrooms, American and British
servicemen fought alongside the Chinese in South East
Asia during World War II
Many/most of the Flying Tigers were Americans.
The British have a long history in China, from the Shanghai incident through to the Yangtse incident, many years later.
There was a substantial British population in China, in the late 20's-early 30's and, of course, they were a target for the Japanese, during and after the Manchuria incident.
A large area of conflict that few in the west know much about. _________________ The Middle Eastern states aren't nations; they're quarrels with borders.- P. J. O'Rourke
