I used to visit Kaohsiung quite a bit and always had a good time at the New York Hotel Bar, Nice hotel and a very fine bar for a good time with no trouble.
Also used to go to a little bar called Carmen Bar, most know where it is,,if it still there as it has been a time since I was there.
