had a thai girl tell me the other day that it was impossible for a thai girl to love a foreigner--She said thay all hook up for the money and maybe after a couple years they will love the dude (sucker)

Whoaaaa...!!! Is life THAT bad for you guys?? There's so much in life besides cussing on marriage/long-term relationship that turns sour or thai girls who only run after money u know. Certainly not trying to bash "Asian" girls ... I love Chinese girls, and most other girls that would fit your definition of Asian ...
However, what we're talking about is true. Pragmatism usually rules decisions ... especially in matters of love, and even more especially these days. Not so sure how it was 30 or 40 years ago, but this is pretty much how it is these days. And I'm not even trying to bash those chicks that marry for money - they have their reasons for doing so ...
This doesnt mean genuine love doesnt exist. It just means one has to work a whole hell of a lot harder to find it, if you get my drift.
