Bloomberg news reported Thailand's chairman of a parliamentary committee on tourism Sanga Tanasanguanwong as saying that legalising casinos and other forms of gambling may help boost Thailand's post-tsunami tourism sector.
If the plan goes ahead, Thailand would be able to compete with Singapore, Macau and Cambodia for gaming tourists, and stop the flow of money Thais are spending on gambling in neighboring countries. The resort area of Pattaya has been tipped as a likely site for casinos if legalised, according to the report. _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
