I'm gonna start weaning myself into a better diet including lots of fresh fruit and vegige juices--need to buy a juicer. why?
been doing some research and I'm sure I can improve my quality of life by following a healtheir diet--too many small nagging health issues _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
Im about 72 kilos now--down from 81 about 6 months ago-my target is get it under 70 and keep it there _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
72kg ? Holy ****!! I haven't weighed that since I was 14 years old.
Your diet sounds like it's pretty good already. You are doing something right anyway. Why would you want to lose any more weight? _________________ Wer tanzen will, muss die Musik bezahlen
Its not about losing weight--its about being healthy.
Im 47years old and 30 years odf smoking and eating garbage have takens its toll.--
Quit cokes and carbonates about 5 years ago.
Quit smoking 2 years ago
Started badminton about 6 months ago-great for the heart
Rehashed eating habits about 3 months ago-Eating breakfast now and only alight meal at night--
and now I will take it to the next level--reduce fats, all but eliminate sugars etc... and start a vegtable juice program--to replace the crackers and popcorn I stilll munch on.
I'm not going health crazy here--i will still eat my favorite foods --but just not as often. _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
You may not live longer, but it will surely seem like it.
And when you die, what will be the cause?
Being so healthy that you got ... nothing. _________________ The Middle Eastern states aren't nations; they're quarrels with borders.- P. J. O'Rourke
After two visits and exhaustive lab tests, he said I was doing "fairly well" for my age. A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't resist asking him, "Do you think I'll live to be 80?"
He asked, "Do you smoke tobacco or drink beer or wine?"
"Oh no," I replied. "I'm not doing drugs, either."
Then he asked, "Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?"
I said, "No, my other Doctor said that all red meat is very unhealthy."
"Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf, sailing, hiking,
or bicycling?" "No, I don't," I said.
He asked, "Do you gamble, drive fast cars, or have a lot of sex?"
"No," I said. "I don't do any of those things."
He looked at me and said, "Then why do you give a shit?" _________________ The Middle Eastern states aren't nations; they're quarrels with borders.- P. J. O'Rourke

Good call Alan!
Hats off to you Mike though. A healthy lifestyle never killed anyone.
I smoke and drink but I never eat snacks. I don't like chocolate, popcorn, crackers or any of that c***. I guess that helps.
Anyway, the stats are pretty compelling. If you're only 72kg then you can't have eaten that much garbage (unless of course you're 3 ft tall).

smoking acts as a appetite suppressant so all those years i smoked I ate less but it was 90% garbage..
after quitting -the appetite cames back full force-i gained about 20 pounds but have shed it off again mianly due to exercise but also a reduction of fats etc...
Hewer--how old are you? the smoking and drinking will eventually catch up to you so enjoy while you can. A doctor told me years ago-he said OK if you must smoke just make sure you quit at age 40.--I missed it by about 5 years.
I checked out american lung association website one day and what i found there scared the hell out of me and motivated me to finally quit.
That's true about it being an appetite suppressant. I've experienced that.
I'm 30 and in reasonable shape. I smoke, but maybe just a pack every two or three days. Like I said, there isn't much sugar in my diet. Tomato ketchup has sugar and so does beer. Processed meats contain sugar, but nowhere near as much as sweets and biscuits.
I'm about 93kg but average for my height. Under 90 would be nice. _________________ Wer tanzen will, muss die Musik bezahlen
