ooooohhh I need one of these for Singapore! personal force field!!! I think that people will steer clear of me when exiting the MRT if I use one of those!

Singapore's is MRT- Mass Rapid Transport or something. The train system in other words.

OK answer me this smart wolfie, why don't the just call it a train? Train is one syllable, easy to say- easier than MRT even. Singapore and its' fascination with acronyms- I still dont understand it!

In HK, they call the subway MTR (Mass Transit Railway).

A colleague from Singapore (well he lived there for a while) at a previous job used to keep referring to it as MRT and I wondered why. Smile

Many Chinese also refer to the MTR as MRT ... interesting, given that the MTR is now expanding in China, and is called MTR instead of MRT. occasion
