I'm going to Thailand this summer on vacation. I don't want to get caught up in going to stupid touristy things that end up being much lamer than advertized. Can any of you that are there give me some ideas on what to do around Bangkok?
Eat fast food at street food stalls, try new dishes, eat alot of fruit, drive tut tut, they will take you to jewelery store, pretend you don't know they try to scam you, drink alot of free water and leave before getting ripped off. Take the river boat, eye shop fake brand products, everything can be fun even the touristy things if you can keep your head and don't buy and do things you will regret later. _________________ Arura.coim - Do you want to make a difference?
I don't forget to take thai massage. You'll feel like dead meat afterwards, but it is fun. _________________ Arura.coim - Do you want to make a difference?

Put your mouse pointer near the green dude--does that tell you anything??
I'm going to be there sometime in the end of June..can't wait, it's gonna be cool. Albeit I don't know a dang thing about Tailand it'll be fun.
Thanks for the ideas guys, what is a tut tut?
Well if you were a a fine upstanding fellow tut tut is what you may get if you take a tuk tuk to the Patpong Family Fun Center Massage Home for Aged Ma..susses Oh and this Icon means to me buy one get one free....
If you are not a fine upstanding fellow, theres always Bingo At St Mary's each night at 7PM Look for the tag that says " O - 69
Have a good holiday in Bkk but for a good time come to Chiang Mai

There's lots of temples to see. The trick is not to buy anything the Tuk Tuk driver recomends. He gets a commision. If your on a budget you want to stay around the Kho San road area. The hotels that are near and not on Kho San road are better value for money. Bangkok is a real sin city. _________________ You've got another five seconds say something really outragious

Stay somewhere where you'll meet lots of other people who don't want to do all the stupid tourist things - that means stay away from Khaosan road and look for accomadation on the other side of thown - the side where most expats live. _________________ Big John's Home Baked Pies - Restaurant Hostel & Internet Cafe Thonglor Soi 9 Bangkok - 02 712 9712 - http://www.bigjohnsworld.com
