Sporting and recreation habits die hard and so they should. It's great to be able to grab a beer or two and watch sports in one's adopted country. Some sports might be harder to get than others, depending on where you are.

What sports are televised where you are?
Is there anything you like that isn't?
Anything you are glad they don't televise?
Thailand we have UBC which includes like 3 or 4 24spoert channels. Lately lots of NY Yankee baseball games which I love watching. Lots of BS wrestling, soccer, golf, american football, basketball from USA etc. pretty good for 35$ per month--also HBO ciinemax etc... _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
Cable is pretty cheap. We can see American baseball, English or German Football and Super 12 Rugby . These are all good. MLB is actually live on free-to-air TV in English.
No cricket, rugby league , American Football , ice hockey or basketball.
They occasionally show the local American football (with Japanese commentary) which is quite a laugh.
Just the usual that we get here in OZ and all on free to air tv -
Aussie rules football - Rugby league - Super 12 Rugby(soon to be Super14) - Cricket(thanks to SBS) - MotoGP and Superbikes - Formula 1 and the real car racing V8 Supercars - Speedway - Power boat racing - Lawn Bowls(good old aunty ABC) - Golf and Tennis(or should that be grunt a lot?) etc etc
