Do you try to promote them at all?
Not really.
The main one, info, gets around 500 hits a week, which astounds me, for such a specilist topic. It also gets me some 50 or so emails a week from people requesting additional information or assistance.
The second one, photos, gets around 400 hits a day, and sufficient downloads that I got banned and thrown off the first server it was hosted on. (They didnt appreciate 1.3gb of traffic in under 24 hrs!)
Most of the searches that find them are on my name, which is, surprisingly, quite well known. I sometimes post a message on boards related to model engineering, but dont try to promote them.
I really must get the third site set up. That will be UK photos, as I mentioned.
Old buildings, stately homes, castles, scenery etc. Photos I take and have taken as I am out and about.
At times I have posted some on various sites and they have always attracted a lot of interest and comments, so I thought I would set up a site of them.
