How many of you are using pirate copies of Windows XP?
Did you know that Microsoft has diabled the windows updates to machines using the pirate copies of XP.? That means that your windows will not get any more security updates and will become increasingly vulnerable to hackers, exploiters, spyware etc.--eventually rendering your pc useless.
In Thailand a legal copy of XP Home edition costs about 100$US.
I canot begin to imagine how many illegal copies of xp are being used in thailand--millions. _________________ Asia Expats Forum Expat Friends Dating
I am one of those strange people who only has legal software, or legitimate freeware on this computer.
Makes it real easy to get updates etc, without MS going all screwy. _________________ The Middle Eastern states aren't nations; they're quarrels with borders.- P. J. O'Rourke

Good--- Plug and Pray velly good.... Must remember that the next time I go into the toilet and plug away and then have to pray...
Do you know the statistics on the number of people who have heart attacks in the toilet ???
De-flooding and de-muddin... Don't know if I ever told you but my little piece of dirt is right on the Mae Ping. Since we had the super flood on the 14th of August there have been now a total of 6 floods here on the river. Three would be the bad ones, which means to me that the water came all the way up and thru and into the street. Which in turn means it is into all the buildings here.. There have also been 3 smaller instances of flooding , which only came into the bungalow and buildings in the back. We usually get one or in a bad year two of these a year. Don't know what is going on this year..
Now I remember why I moved to the condo-cave on the mountain...
Its been very expensive this year. but a man's gotta do, what a man's gotta do.

Can we have a full accounting of expenses incurred due to the flooding?
How bout just the 1 st flood... Washer and Dryer not 2 years old about 18,000 B each + Freezer 16,000 B + water pump not to mention warped doors replaced, box spring and mattress' wardrobes and beds veneer peeled...... ok that maybe you can live with after all it is a once in 40 year happening.....
Right now the new freezer replacement just got rewired and some of the replaced doors are now warping water pump was also under, but I've learned once in 40 years is for the rest of the world here once in 40 years is 2 times...
